The last few weeks has been terribly hectic, mostly due to the fact that we’ve moved out of the apartment and into a house. We are now proud renters of roughly 250 square meters of prime walls and ceiling accompanied by the obligatory grass lawn. The apartment weighed in at 62 square meters so the switch has left us with a spaceous kind of feeling. We’re trying our best to get everything in order but it’ll probably take a week or so more. When that is done there will perhaps be photos, who can tell?

‘Been focusing alot on R-n’-R the last week or so. Last Sunday me and a friend of mine went and saw STCC wich was for the most part really sweet. I enjoy motorsports probably a tad more then the next guy but the mind staggering amount of rainfall that day was enough to put a damper on anyones spirit. We arrived at the scene about 10-o’clock and about 12 we were completely soaked, and had only seen one race(the Ferrari cup). The fist STCC qualifying race was started behind safety cars only to be aborted on the second lap.
So at about 13:00 they re-started it again and manage to finish it. After that it was time for the S60 class which was pretty exiting. They drivers didn’t let the wet tarmac stop them from putting on an exiting race, TV sure don’t do justice to the speed of the cars, they drive insanely fast. After that race we chose to go home, we were absolutely freezing and shivering like small yapper-type dogs. We’ll try and go to the next race as well hoping for some better weather conditions and lunacy fast racing.
Yesterday me and ‘The Girlfriend’ went to Malmoe to see “Juliette and the Licks”(www.julietteandthelicks.com) at “Kulturhuset”. That my friends was a pretty sweet show I can tell you and if they are ever in even a remote vicinity of you, drop what you are doing and go see them. It was an explosive show with so much energy and quality that I actually wondered if I thought this was better than Metallica(www.metallica.com) last year. It was just that great. I must admit that I didn’t know that much about them before, I don’t own any records(yet, soon to be remedied) and have only heard them on the radio off and on, but now I’m officially hooked.
Pictures will be available shortly when I get the first installment of “MoPho”(explained soonish here on gundersson(dot)com). Alas I only took some on my trip to STCC since the weather didn’t permit longer camera exposure to the elements and we chose not to bring the camera to Juliette and the licks, a bad choice indeed. The settings were perfect for some sweet concert photos, but we didn’t know before hand.

I, as many others, use email extensively for communication. I rarely use the phone anymore and have substituted it with things as email and irc. I also enjoy being a member of several mailing lists that provide me with the latest news, support and general tips in areas that I find interesting.
The preferred way to format an email is very personal. Some friends of mine like, for instance, to reply to an email _above_ the original mail. So when you read a reply from them, and your memory is short like mine ;), you would have to first scroll down to read the original message and back up again to read the reply. This can make for some strangely composed messages where you have to jump up and down in the message and, if it’s really bad, count ‘>’-separators to try and figure out which text was posted when.
If you are a mailing list member, or thinking of becoming one, and feel unsure of ‘best practices’ I have two links you should follow. First there is A beginner’s guide to effective email which will give you good tips you should try and follow. The second links is How to write effective mailing list email which is more of a complement to the first one with perhaps more mailing list oriented tips.
