Ja, det var första gången för mig i alla fall. Och eftersom jag är övertygad om att allt centreras kring mig så borde det ju vara någonsin, punkt. Skämt åsido, jag fick ett provdykningstillfälle av Ängeholms sportdykarklubb för ett tag sedan och i torsdags var det dags för premiären. Jag, några bekanta och min gamle kollega och tillika dykledare åke ut till Arild, som är beläget på sydsidan av skälderviken, för att göra dyket då sikten skulle vara bra där samt att det är en ganska trevlig miljö.

Väl på plats axlade vi på oss utrustningen och förberedde oss för dykning. Att det var tunga grejer visste jag men något förvånad blev jag ändå. Det väger ganska mycket när man packar på dykväst, lufttank och extra vikter. När allt var på och kontrollerat att det fungerade så gav vi oss av mot vattnet. Det var lättare sagt än gjort att komma i då bottnen bestod uteslutande av sten med en massa tång på. Halkigt värre, saken blev ju inte bättre av att man är smidig som ett städ heller.
Tyvärr hade vi inte med oss undervattenskameran så jag har inga bilder att visa på det. Jag kan bara säga att jag blev duktigt överraskad av hur rikt vårt havsliv är och hur vackert det är under ytan. Visst, det går mest i olika nyanser av brunt, det lilla jag har sett och är kanske inte lika exotiskt som medelhavsfaunan men man blir ändå lite stolt.
Nästa gång jag åker ut och dyker ska jag se till att vi får med en kamera så att jag kan visa lite bilder, för detta måste upprepas.

Took some time but I finally got around to it. With this set we’re about late first week if I remember correctly. Enjoy.
On another note I just upgraded to Ubuntu ”Edgy Eft” Beta and so far it’s working great. The upgrade went smoothly and there were no hassles. So far it has fixed my problem with inserted CD-ROMs not being mounted properly. I’ll try and give a review when it hits final release.

After two so pleasant weeks it should be outlawed, we touched down on swedish soil again at approx. 6pm Sunday. Not that I’m actually keeping score but it may very well have been the best trip I’ve ever been on. The hospitality we were shown went above and beyond any and all expectations, and had we even been shown half of it, it would still exeed.
Thanks again you guys!
It’s been interesting getting to know the people who are our, far away but still dear, relatives. It’s been twenty years since I last visited and I’m glad that I got the chance to meet some of the persons that I havn’t seen since. And I know that I speak for all of us that we are truly grateful that you would have us there.
I have a lot of impressions that I would like to share with everyone and that is best accompanied by photos. Since we took nearly 400 photos there are alot that have to be sorted through. When I manage that I’ll put them here, like a scrapbook or something. Just wanted to let everyone know that we are home safe and sound.

On friday morning at 06:05 our plane takes off from Copenhagen to Minneapolis. There we will spend two weeks visiting relatives and just plain having a good time. We don’t have that much planned but we think we’re going to ”Mall of America”, the ”Valley fair” amusement park and Mount Rushmore. Besides that we’ll see.
In honor of this occasion I installed the Scooch web gallery and slideshow. It’s exellent in both administration and presentation. I’m really looking forward to trying it out here. We bought a new camera from Olympus which I hope will give us some nice pictures from our trip. I’ll try and upload some while we are over there but you just don’t know when you’ll stumble upon a computer.
If I’m not able to upload anything while on the trip I’ll do so when I get back. Now I really must get packing!
